The pre-registration of the Battlegrounds Mobile India will commence on May 18, 2021, officially at Playstore and Apple Store.
Krafton has not yet announced the beta testing of the mobile application, as it is sure to happen at the earliest.
The sensational mobile game, PUBG, which had sealed the hearts of millions of young gamers, planted a new arena of e-sports in the country. Laying a firm foundation for the gaming world, the Tencent-made mobile product received stupendous applaud from the younger generation. Battlegrounds mobile, however, faced a lot of criticism and a lifetime ban by the Indian Government, under the Information Technology Act Section 69A. The parent and the sole owners of the mobile game Tencent was accused of misusing the data and confidential information of the Indian users. The hostility between China and India over the border acquisition compelled the local consumers to rejection of each other's products.
In September 2020, the PlayersUnknown Battleground was banned by the Government of India to secure the user data, claimed to be used for military operations against India by China.
From the day it was banned until the announcement of the comeback with a revamped name, the gamers in India have been waiting on the edges of their seat. The disinvestment by Tencent and the undertaking of the operations in India by a parent company Krafton enhanced the probability of them coming back. Finally, the older PUBG Mobile was renamed or revised into Battlegrounds Mobile, providing a new look with the incorporation of local culture and habitat.
